About the organisation
Public Administration Reform Coordinator's Office (PARCO) coordinates the public administration reform process and creates conditions for effective implementation of public administration reform in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Joint work with the representatives of political, operational, supervisory and implementing structures; initiating and directing financial support and technical assistance; implementation of reform measures through projects; supervision and evaluation of the overall progress of public administration reform are the main activities carried out by PARCO, for an efficient, transparent, cost effective and modern public administration oriented to citizens.

Objectives and results
PARCO, for the third time, decided to implement the Common Assessment Framework CAF with the aim of continuing to improve the quality of the institution's overall work by:
- Performing the CAF in accordance with the European requirements of the CAF Quality Label.
- Deepening the practical knowledge of the employees of the CAF-SAG in PARCO with the principles of quality management.
- Developing the strengths, improvement areas, and improvement actions of PARCO in a self-assessment process with the employees/self-assessment-group.
- Basing it on a structured action plan to implement sustainable improvement actions and strengthen the culture of total quality management in PARCO
- Enabling the CAF-SAG of PARCO to implement CAF by themselves.
- Enabling PARCO to design future activities based on the project results, especially linking CAF activities with other ReSPA/ RQMC programme activities.
Implemented activities
So far, the following activities were set up to implement the CAF program in the - Public Administration Reform Coordinator’s Office:_
- CAF Training – February 24th, 2023
- CAF Consensus Workshop – April 12th - 13th, 2023
- CAF Action Plan Workshop – May 11th - 12th, 2023
Based on the agreed CAF Improvement Plan, the improvement activities (5 CAF Packages) will be implemented by 2024, under the supervision of the CAF Programme Manager of PARCO, Kenan Avdagić: kenan.avdagic@parco.gov.ba.
