CAF - National Accreditation Center of Moldova (MOLDAC)
About the organisation
The National Accreditation Center of the Republic of Moldova (MOLDAC) is a public institution, supervised by the specialized body of the central public administration responsible for quality infrastructure, established on the basis of the Law no.235 of 01.12.2011 on accreditation and conformity assessment activities. MOLDAC aims to implement the state policy in the field of accreditation and conformity assessment, providing confidence in the technical competence, impartiality and integrity of accredited conformity assessment bodies, as well as promoting the free movement of products, increasing the competitiveness of products and services, defending the rights and interests of the consumer, ensuring the protection of life, health and safety of persons and the environment.

Objectives and results
The following objectives were pursued with the implementation of the CAF in MOLDAC:
- Implement CAF in accordance with the European requirements of the CAF Quality Label.
- Enhance the practical knowledge of employees in the CAF Self-Assessment Group within MOLDAC regarding the principles of quality management.
- Identify strengths, weaknesses, and improvement measures for the MOLDAC during the self-assessment process in collaboration with employees and the self-assessment group.
- Based on a structured action plan, implement sustainable improvement areas and strengthen the culture of Total Quality Management (TQM) within MOLDAC.
- Enable the CAF Self-Assessment Group to independently implement CAF.
Implemented activities
So far, the following activities were set up to implement the CAF program in MOLDAC:
- CAF Training – September 4th, 2024
- CAF Consensus Workshop – November 7th – 8th, 2024
- CAF Action Plan Workshop – December 2nd, 2024
The improvement activities (5 CAF Packages) will be implemented under the supervision of the CAF Programme Manager of the City of Gjorče Petrov Ms. Aliona Gutul: aliona.gutul@moldac.gov.md
