Aida Soko is a seasoned Private & Public Sector expert with over 20 years of experience in the private sector development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and theSoutheast Europe region. In the course of her career, she served at the senior level positions both in the public and private sector, as well as within development organizations (The World Bank, KfW, and USAID), in the Eastern European region. She has provided technical assistance and built the capacities of different organizations in key areas: private sector development, market linkages, export development, access to finance, investment promotion, and public-private partnership. Mrs. Soko is a proven senior manager that has landed her leadership and technical expertise to numerous public and private institutions throughout her career. She currently serves as a Advisor at the Office of the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, working the on implementation of Reform Agenda, under the British-German initiative.
Mrs. Soko is providing guidance in identifying the catalyst for development and launching of the investment activities including legal and regulatory changes with focus on expansion of existing companies, foreign direct investments, high growth performance, and high value entrepreneurship. She is overseeing the implementation of public-private partnerships, to create an economic opportunities within targeted localities. Mrs. Soko has extensive experience working with private sector entities, public sector institutions, business associations, and academia. She served as a Board member at number of Business Associations: Foreign Investor Council, American Chamber of Commerce, Business Council at the University of Sarajevo Faculty of Economics, advocating for efforts to improve business environment . She has been active in the academic arena as well, as a guest lecturer at BURCH University in Sarajevo. Mrs. Soko is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Business/Management at the University of Sarajevo, and holds an M.A. degree in Public sector management from the University of Ljubljana and Sarajevo, and a B.Sc.degree in Economics from the University of Sarajevo, in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
